Carbon Sequestration in Planting Forests
It is the absorption of large quantities of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. The most common form of carbon sequestration is done by forests. In the growth stage, the trees require a large amount of carbon to grow and end up removing the element from the air. This natural process helps to reduce considerably the amount of CO2 into the atmosphere and each hectare of forest to be developed can absorb no less than 150 200 tonnes of carbon.
